Kindness Worldwide Inc. Launches “It’s Cool 2B Kind” Campaign in Partnership with WHP CBS 21

See the Good. Be the Good. Go the Extra Mile!

In furtherance of its vision “to create a culture of kindness in communities throughout the world,” Kindness Worldwide Inc. today announces the commencement of a robust coordinated effort to proactively address the root causes of bullying behaviors. The bold campaign’s initial phase will consist of multiple Public Service Announcements featuring a diverse group of school students from York County, PA where the Kindness Worldwide movement began. The segments showcase heart-minded student leaders expressing their conviction that Kindness is a strength that is trendy, fashionable, hip, and “cool!”

Scenes will also include students displaying Kindness Worldwide’s “Be the Good” kindness cards that feature a simple individual act of kindness viewers are encouraged to perform and “pass it forward” as a means of making kindness intentional and top of mind in daily lives and routines. Segments will air regionally on WHP CBS 21 and be shared through multiple social networks and channels as the initial phase of a broader national and global visionary campaign that will later welcome additional collaborative partners through groundbreaking initiatives in Music, Sports, Fashion, and Entertainment.

“One out of every five students reports being bullied. Statistics are alarming and spiraling in the wrong direction with the cost of mental health treatments in the billions of dollars globally. Tangible and intangible adverse physical and psychological effects are even greater,” states Kindness Worldwide Founder Kevin Smith. “Prevention and new ways of thinking are necessary to reverse outdated paradigms and ineffective traditional approaches and methods. We must begin leading with kindness while recognizing, rewarding, and celebrating kind behaviors more broadly. I commend CBS 21 for its forward thinking and collaborative partnership, and welcome other like-minded media and other partners to join us in this noble effort. It will take a village.”

Continued Megan Shaffer, CBS 21 General Sales Manager, “Our station has distinguished itself for its reputation in serving the Susquehanna Valley region from our base in Pennsylvania’s Harrisburg state capital for many years. As a leader in our community, we recognize the important role our station can play in furthering Kindness Worldwide’s bold and inspirational vision for the betterment of our community and broader world. We are delighted to be a partner in such a meaningful initiative that we wholeheartedly embrace and support. Kindness is truly a strength that simultaneously warms the heart while indeed being very cool.”

Kindness Worldwide Inc’s signature initiative, Kindness Week Worldwide, will be celebrated by multiple communities and ecosystems November 9 – 16, 2024 with numerous opportunities for schools, colleges, and student organizations to engage in the spirit of both Kindness Week Worldwide and the “It’s Cool 2B Kind” campaign.
